About the company
INSANGO is a consumer mutual insurance society established in Moscow on 17 May 2022. It operates under Bank of Russia licence VS No. 4393 (mutual insurance). Unlike an ordinary insurance company, a mutual society insures its members: to get a policy you need to join the society. Mutual societies pay no profit tax and do not form share capital, which allows rates below the market level; INSANGO reinsures its risks with Russian insurers and reinsurers.
Insurance products
- cargo insurance for any mode of transport, including sea shipments with complex deal structures and several intermediaries;
- hull insurance, including ships under construction and ship repair works;
- shipowners' liability with certificates issued under international conventions;
- liability of carriers and freight forwarders, professional liability;
- also vehicle fleets, property and construction risks.
The society can make cross-border payments to surveyors, average adjusters and lawyers abroad and provide security deposits in general average cases — important for exporters and shipping companies.
Key figures
According to the Bank of Russia, contributions for 2025 amounted to RUB 29.7 million and claims paid to RUB 2.7 million (rank 100). In the first half of 2026: RUB 4.3 million in contributions and RUB 7.9 million in claims (rank 101).

- Notify the insurer immediately, following the procedure and deadlines in the contract.
- Take reasonable steps to limit the loss and preserve evidence: reports, photos, correspondence.
