About the company

Medical Insurance Society Spasenie LLC is a health insurance organisation (SMO) based in Kazan. It operates in the compulsory medical insurance system (OMS) in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Bashkortostan and also offers voluntary health insurance. Bank of Russia licences: OS No. 3528-01 (OMS) and SL No. 3528 (voluntary personal insurance other than life).

What you should know about OMS

  • An OMS (compulsory medical insurance) policy is free of charge — you can get it at the SMO's service centre or online; it is valid throughout Russia.
  • You choose your health insurance organisation yourself. You can switch once a year (application by 1 November) or more often if you move.
  • The SMO does not provide treatment; it monitors the timeliness, availability and quality of free medical care, invites you for check-ups and helps if a clinic or hospital violates your rights.

If you are refused free care, asked to pay for services covered by OMS, or kept waiting too long, call the SMO hotline: insurance representatives will look into the matter.

Voluntary health insurance

For employers and individuals, Spasenie offers voluntary health insurance (DMS) and employee health insurance — programmes with outpatient care, hospital treatment and home doctor visits beyond OMS guarantees.
