How much DMS costs in 2026

The price of an individual DMS (voluntary health insurance giving access to private clinics) depends mainly on the programme and the clinic. According to an estimate published by RIA Novosti (updated in July 2026), a basic policy costs from RUB 20,000–30,000 a year, mid-range programmes RUB 50,000–100,000, and extended programmes in large private clinics RUB 150,000–300,000 or more. The calculator uses the midpoints: RUB 25,000, 75,000 and 225,000 per person.

Prices keep rising: according to Kommersant, DMS policies became 7–15% more expensive in 2026. The cheapest products — telemedicine and online consultations — start at RUB 1,900–2,000 a year on Sravni, but they do not include treatment in a clinic.

What affects the price

  • Programme: outpatient clinic only, or also home visits, dental care, hospital, ambulance.
  • Clinics: the insurer's network or a specific private clinic.
  • Deductible. On Sravni a programme with a 50% co-payment starts at RUB 12,320 a year versus RUB 26,800 for a programme without one, hence the 0.46 factor.
  • Age and health. Many companies sell separate programmes for older people and children, and some set age limits.
  • City: medical care is more expensive in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Estimates by company

The company coefficient is the ratio of its average premium per DMS policy with individuals to the market average (RUB 6,546) according to the Bank of Russia for 2025. The market average includes inexpensive products such as telemedicine, so companies with full programmes have higher coefficients. No data or a ratio outside 0.5–2.0 means "price on request".

Preliminary estimate

Two adults, basic programme without a deductible: 2 × 25,000 ≈ RUB 50,000 a year. A mid-range programme for one person — about RUB 75,000.
