What is Polis Re?
Polis Re is an insurance centre and insurance marketplace. The website brings together a catalogue of insurance types for individuals and businesses, a catalogue of Russian insurance companies, calculators, online travel insurance, a reinsurance section and reference materials in the "Useful" section. The website is operated by Polis Re LLC (OOO «Полис Рэ», Moscow).
Is Polis Re an insurance company?
No. The insurance contract is concluded with an insurance company, which also issues the policy and pays claims under its insurance rules. Polis Re's job is to help you understand the offers, compare terms and submit a request to the insurer you choose.
Why get an outside view if you can go to an insurer directly?
An insurance company employee represents their own company's products — that is normal, but they cannot compare offers from several insurers. With several options in front of you, it is easier to see differences in cover, deductibles, exclusions and service, not just price. That is why companies and private clients with a strong insurance culture usually look at the market more broadly than a single insurer.
How do I buy travel insurance on the website?
Online insurance for trips abroad is arranged on the website through Polis Re's partner, the Cherehapa service. You enter the country, dates and travellers' details, compare prices and terms from different insurers, pay for the policy, and the chosen insurance company issues it. Do you work with companies?
Yes. The website covers the main corporate lines: property, cargo, construction and erection risks, liability, employee voluntary health insurance, fleet insurance, hazardous industrial facilities and more. Can I take part in public procurement of insurance services through Polis Re?
If a procurement is run under Federal Law No. 44-FZ or No. 223-FZ, the participant is the insurance company — it submits the bid and signs the contract with the customer. We can help you understand the requirements of the technical specification and find out which insurers work with such risks.
How do I choose a reliable insurance company?

What should I do if an insurer refuses to pay?
First, request a written reasoned refusal and check it against the insurance rules. If you disagree, send a claim letter to the insurer. A consumer of financial services can then apply to the financial ombudsman, and after that go to court. Practical tips are collected in the Insured event section.
What guarantees do you give?
Claims are paid by the insurance company in accordance with the contract and insurance rules, so we cannot and will not promise a payout on our own behalf. We are responsible for something else: explaining terms honestly, not hiding exclusions and limitations, and warning about the risks of choosing on price alone. Clients' personal data are processed in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data".
