This page brings together information you should know before using Polis Re's services and concluding an insurance contract.
Who operates the website
The polisre.ru website and the Polis Re insurance centre belong to Polis Re LLC (OOO «Polis Re»; INN 7733823400, OGRN 1127747178371, 6 Kronshtadtsky Boulevard, Moscow, 125212). Full details are on the Company Details page.
Polis Re is not an insurance company
Polis Re helps clients choose an insurance programme and insurer, calculate the price and prepare documents, and supports them throughout. However, Polis Re:
- does not assume insurance risks;
- does not issue insurance policies;
- does not pay claims or decide on them.
Obligations under an insurance contract are borne by the insurance company that concluded it.
Who issues policies
Policies are issued by insurance companies holding a Bank of Russia licence for the relevant type of insurance. You can check an insurer's licence in the register of insurance market participants on the official website of the Bank of Russia, by company name or INN (taxpayer ID). Brief information about insurers is collected in our insurance company directory.
The terms of the contract are determined by the insurer's insurance rules. Before paying, read the rules, the list of exclusions, the deductible and what to do when an insured event occurs.
Quotes on the website are indicative
Results of calculators and preliminary quotes are for reference only and are not an offer to conclude a contract. The final price and terms are set by the insurance company after checking the data.
Buying travel insurance online
Travel insurance on the website is purchased through Polis Re's partner, the Cherehapa service. You choose a programme and an insurance company, enter your details and pay on the partner's payment page; the policy is issued by the chosen insurance company and sent to your e-mail. Polis Re does not receive or store bank card details.
How Polis Re is paid
Polis Re's fee is paid by partners and insurance companies, not by the client. The price of a policy does not change when you buy through Polis Re: you pay the premium at the insurance company's rate, with no extra charges for selection or advice. The fee may vary between insurers. If you want to know whether Polis Re receives a fee under your contract, ask a specialist — we will tell you.
We aim to offer options that suit the client's needs rather than those with the highest fee, and we show a comparison of several insurers whenever possible.
Personal data
How we process personal data is described in the Personal Data Processing Policy; the rules for using the website are in the User Agreement.
Where to turn if something goes wrong
- Polis Re. Write to info@polisre.ru or call +7 (495) 108-60-59. We will review your enquiry and reply within 10 working days, and if the issue concerns an insurer, we will help you formulate your claim and gather documents.
- The insurance company. Claims under an insurance contract — about payment, its amount, termination of the contract or premium refunds — are sent to the insurer in writing (an application or a formal complaint). Keep copies and proof of sending.
- The Financial Ombudsman. If the insurer refuses or does not respond within the set time, an individual consumer of financial services can apply free of charge to the Financial Ombudsman (Federal Law No. 123-FZ). For claims up to 500,000 rubles, and for OSAGO (compulsory motor third-party liability insurance) regardless of the amount, applying to the Financial Ombudsman is mandatory before going to court.
- The Bank of Russia. A complaint about violations by an insurance company or an insurance intermediary can be sent to the Bank of Russia through its online reception.
- Court. A dispute may be heard in court in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
More on what to do when an insured event occurs is in the Insured Event section.
