AK BARS Insurance LLC is an insurer based in Kazan and part of the AK BARS group. It was registered in 2011 and holds Bank of Russia licences for voluntary personal (SL No. 3867) and property (SI No. 3867) insurance dated 06.06.2019, and since November 2024 also for reinsurance (PS No. 3867).

The company does not offer OSAGO or life insurance. Compulsory medical insurance (OMS) within the group is handled by a separate company, AK BARS-Med.

The company's financial strength is rated by the NCR agency: in June 2026 the rating was upgraded from A-.ru to A.ru. The agency factors support from the group into the rating.

If an insured event occurs, notify the insurer within the period stated in your contract, obtain certificates from the competent authorities (police, Emergencies Ministry, medical facility) and do not change the scene of the loss before the company's representative inspects it. A claim is filed with the policy, an identity document and documents on the event. If the company refuses a payout or misses deadlines, an individual can apply to the Financial Ombudsman.
