About the company
BASK Insurance Company JSC was founded in 1993 to insure property and corporate risks of the Kuzbass coal industry. Today it is a universal insurer for businesses and individuals. Its head office is in Belovo, Kemerovo Region, with branches and representative offices in Moscow, the Chelyabinsk and Irkutsk regions, Bashkortostan, Udmurtia, Yakutia and several industrial centres of Kuzbass.
The company holds Bank of Russia licences SL and SI No. 0518, as well as OS No. 0518-03 (OSAGO) and OS No. 0518-04 (OSOPO) dated 25.09.2018. Paid-up authorised capital is RUB 480 million. BASK is a member of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (since 2002), the National Union of Liability Insurers (since 2012) and the All-Russian Insurance Association (since 2016).
A significant share of its portfolio consists of contracts with individuals, but its core expertise is corporate insurance for the region's industrial enterprises.
Types of insurance offered
For corporate clients:
- OSOPO — compulsory liability insurance for owners of hazardous facilities;
- company property, cargo, fleets, financial risks;
- general and professional liability;
- employee accident insurance and health insurance;
- agricultural insurance — crops, plantings and livestock.

For OSAGO the company is a member of the RSA. Policy limits are RUB 400,000 for property damage and RUB 500,000 for harm to life and health. If an OSAGO insurer loses its licence, the RSA makes the compensation payment to the injured party.
Key figures
According to Bank of Russia data for 2025, the company collected RUB 857 million in insurance premiums and paid out RUB 1.42 billion, ranking 71st among Russian insurers by premium volume. In the first half of 2026, premiums amounted to RUB 384 million and payouts to RUB 317 million (74th place for the half-year).
In 2025 payouts (RUB 1.42 billion) exceeded premiums — for a company covering large industrial risks, a single year can be loss-making because of individual large events.
The company has no active financial strength ratings: its ACRA credit rating (BBB-(RU)) was withdrawn in May 2025 at the company's own request.

After a road accident covered by OSAGO, register it with the traffic police or by a European accident report and file a claim within five working days. In the event of an accident at a hazardous facility, the owner must notify the insurer — the website has a dedicated section on incidents at hazardous facilities.
