About the company
New Reinsurance Company LLC (OOO NPK) is a specialised reinsurer. It was set up in January 2024 as a wholly owned subsidiary of SOGAZ, one of Russia’s largest insurers (see the SOGAZ profile). It was created as part of measures to build additional reinsurance capacity and foster competition in the Russian insurance market.
Its Bank of Russia reinsurance licence is PS No. 4406 of 6 May 2024, with no expiry date. Its number in the unified state register of insurance entities is 4406.
What it offers
NPK works only with insurance companies; it does not issue policies to individuals or businesses. Its services include:
- proportional and non-proportional reinsurance;
- facultative (risk-by-risk) and treaty (portfolio) reinsurance;
- a range of industry lines, backed by the parent company’s 30 years of expertise.

Rating
National Credit Ratings (NKR) assigned the company an AAA.ru rating with a stable outlook on 26 February 2025 and affirmed it on 26 February 2026. The company only accepts inward reinsurance, so it does not appear in insurer rankings by direct premiums.
