How to become a member
A mutual insurance society (OVS) insures only its own members: you first join the society under its membership regulations and charter (usually by paying an entrance fee) and then sign an insurance contract. Members take part in governance through the general meeting. Mutual insurance is regulated by Federal Law No. 286-FZ "On Mutual Insurance" and supervised by the Bank of Russia.
Both legal entities and individuals can become members of Sequoia.
Types of insurance offered
- Property insurance for individuals — under the society's rules and rates.
- Commercial property insurance.
Key figures
According to the Bank of Russia, the society's volumes are still minimal: about RUB 2,000 in contributions in 2025 and about RUB 23,000 in the first half of 2026; there were no payouts.
