About the company

Insurance Society Talisman JSC is a regional insurer from Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan). It operates under Bank of Russia licences dated 24.10.2022: SL No. 1587 (voluntary personal insurance other than life), SI No. 1587 (voluntary property insurance) and OS No. 1587-03 (OSAGO).

Talisman is an active member of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA), so it is entitled to sell OSAGO policies. Its business is small and focused mainly on motor insurance.

Types of insurance offered

  • OSAGO — compulsory motor third-party liability insurance. The statutory limits are the same at every insurer: RUB 400,000 for property damage and RUB 500,000 for harm to the life and health of each victim. The price is calculated using a single Bank of Russia formula — get an estimate in the OSAGO calculator.
  • KASKO — voluntary motor insurance against damage and theft.
  • Fleet insurance for companies.

The SL and SI licences formally allow other types of voluntary insurance as well; check the current list of programmes with the company.

Key figures

According to the Bank of Russia, in 2025 Talisman collected about RUB 5.3 million in premiums (106th place on the market) and paid out about RUB 13.6 million. In the first half of 2026 premiums were about RUB 0.3 million and payouts about RUB 1.2 million. In both periods payouts exceeded premiums.

After a road accident under OSAGO

  • Register the accident: without the traffic police using the European accident report (europrotokol) for damage up to RUB 100,000 (up to RUB 400,000 if recorded via "Gosuslugi Avto" or the "DTP.Europrotokol" app), otherwise with the police.
  • If only vehicles are damaged and both drivers have OSAGO, file the claim with your own insurer (direct loss settlement).
  • Present the car for inspection and do not repair it before the inspection.

If you disagree with the insurer's decision, first send it a written claim (pretenziya). An individual consumer can then apply to the Financial Ombudsman — for many disputes this is a mandatory step before going to court. See "Insured event" for details.

The calculator will help you compare OSAGO and KASKO prices across companies, and a request to Polis Re specialists will help you choose a policy.
