Insurance is a service where details matter: what exactly the policy covers, what the exclusions are, what to do when an insured event occurs. That is why every Polis Re client, wherever they are, has their own specialist — a personal manager. You can turn to them with any insurance question, from choosing a programme to settling a claim.
Who a personal manager is
A personal manager is a Polis Re employee who handles a client's affairs from the first contact until the contract ends, and beyond — at renewal. The client does not have to explain the situation again and again to different people: the manager knows their policies, deadlines and preferences. The manager helps the client understand the terms but does not replace the insurance company: the contract is concluded with the insurer, the policy is issued by the insurance company, and it is the insurer that decides on payouts.
How the work is organised
1. Getting to know the task
Everything starts with a request on the website, a call or an email. The manager clarifies what needs to be insured and against what, what budget is comfortable and which terms matter. For an individual this may be a car, a flat, a trip or health; for a company — property, cargo, liability or employees.
2. Selecting options
The manager selects programmes and requests offers from insurance companies. For standard products — such as OSAGO (compulsory motor third-party liability insurance) or travel insurance — a quote can be obtained with the calculators on the website. For complex business risks, a request describing the object is prepared, and insurers send their offers after assessing it.
3. Comparing and explaining
The most important stage is to go through the offers on substance, not just on price. The manager explains how the terms differ: sums insured, deductibles, exclusions, payout procedures, document requirements. The final choice always remains with the client.
4. Arranging the policy
The manager helps prepare documents and conclude the contract with the chosen insurance company. Travel insurance can be bought online directly on the website: it is arranged through Polis Re's partner, the Cherehapa service, and the policy is issued by the insurance company you choose. Policies bought online are saved in your personal account.
5. Ongoing support
During the term of the contract the manager stays in touch: helps make changes, reminds you when the policy is about to expire and prepares renewal options that reflect any changes in your circumstances.
What to do when an insured event occurs
An insured event is when support is needed most. The manager will advise you:
- what to do immediately so as not to lose the right to a payout;
- how and by when to notify the insurance company;
- which documents will be needed and where to get them;
- how to act if the insurer delays the review or disagrees with the claim — including when to turn to the Financial Ombudsman.
General recommendations on this topic are collected in the Insured event section.
For individuals and businesses
For private clients, the manager is one person who keeps track of the family's OSAGO and KASKO (motor own-damage insurance), home and travel insurance and reminds them about renewals on time. For companies the task is broader: the specifics of the business, legal requirements for compulsory insurance, and the terms of contracts with counterparties and banks all have to be taken into account. The manager helps collect information on assets and risks, prepare requests to insurers and build an insurance programme in which policies neither overlap nor leave gaps. - terms from several insurers compared in one place;
- clear explanations without insurance jargon;

What you can ask about
- advice on any type of insurance for individuals and businesses;
- explanation of the terms of a current policy or a new offer;
- comparison of insurance companies and programmes;
- changes to and renewal of contracts;
- support when an insured event occurs.
