Damage to body tissues or organs caused by an external impact, such as a fracture, dislocation, burn or wound. In accident insurance, the injury payment is set by a table.

A company or sole trader that helps clients choose an insurer and conclude insurance or reinsurance contracts in the client's interest. Brokers are licensed by the Bank of Russia.

Insurance contract

The premium rate per unit of sum insured or per insured object, reflecting the nature of the risk. For compulsory classes, rates or rate corridors are set by the Bank of Russia.

Insurance supervision

Oversight of compliance with insurance law. In Russia it is carried out by the Bank of Russia, which issues and revokes licences, sets requirements for reserves and financial stability, and handles complaints.
